Art Styles
Artists use many styles to create their drawings and paintings. A few major styles are:
Abstract Art:

Abstract art is art that is not a direct representation of an object. For example, the shape, lines, form and color of Autumn wind can be view differently. The artist takes an object and chooses to either simplify it or exaggerate it. Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock both used this style in their works.

Surrealist Artists create a picture and change it around to look like an optical allusion or a dream. The overall image is still very clear, but the background of the picture may have been changed or objects in the picture may have been changed to give the art a feeling of being in a dream.

Impressionist art is art that is captured and painted as someone would see it if they were to just glimpse at it. These types of paintings use a lot of vibrant colors. The paintings are mostly of outdoor scenes. The pictures have very little detail, but use more bold colors.
